WorkGarden provides a space that parallels to a garden through its methods of dividing space and the experience of discovery. As a garden defines spaces with paths and plants, WorkGarden defines spaces with architecture and function. The idea of discovery is achieved through the variety of walls and hidden elements. As the user is walking through the space, there is a feeling of exploration as they turn corners and discover things that walls were hiding. These spatial definitions were created after the study of workflow through the day and the adjacency of these functions to each other. Another determinant of the layout was the type of user. The most public part of the space is closest to the front windows and becomes more private towards the other direction.
